Empathy@LPS

We teach students to understand and respect different perspectives, promoting compassion and inclusivity.
"The eyes of Empathy”
To see with the eyes of another - not just to glance, but to gaze into the world as they know it: its shadows, its light, its beauty and burden.
To listen with the ears of another - not just to hear, but to understand the tremble in their voice, the silence between words, the ache behind laughter.
To feel with the heart of another - not just to sympathize, but to be moved, as if their sorrow were your own, as if their joy lit your soul.
Empathy is not a mirror - it's a doorway.
It asks us to step through, to be changed by what we find on the other side.
It is the language of presence, the art of being with - without fixing, without judging, simply honoring what is true.
For in the eyes of another, we may find ourselves. In the heart of another, we may remember our shared humanity.
