First Aid Procedure

When a student attends First Aid, parents and guardians will receive a notification via Compass outlining the reason for the visit and any treatment provided. In most cases, students are treated and return promptly to class or the playground.

Occasionally, the First Aid Officer may contact you directly to provide additional information or clarification.

Please note that parents and guardians are not required to collect their child following a First Aid visit unless specifically contacted by the school. If your child needs to be collected, the First Aid Officer will notify you directly.

Medication

If your child requires prescription medication to be administered at school, a Medication Authority Form must be completed. This form can be downloaded from the Documents section of our website or collected from the school office.

All medication must be provided in its original packaging, clearly labelled by the pharmacy with your child’s name and dosage instructions attached.

If your child has a medical condition that requires ongoing medication, a General Medical Advice Form must also be completed in consultation with your doctor.

For students with allergies, a letter from your child’s doctor outlining the specific details of the allergy must accompany the Medication Authority Form.

Change of clothes

We kindly ask that all students — particularly those in Prep to Year 3 — keep a spare set of clothes in their school bag at all times.

For a variety of reasons, students may occasionally need to change during the school day. Having a spare set of clothes readily available allows for a quick and discreet change, helping students return to their learning with minimal disruption and greater comfort.
